Fermecutes Inc. and Chikaranomoto Company, operator of Ippudo, announce the launch of Shonai-style kin-pun ramen

Fermecutes Inc. (Headquarters: Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture; CEO: Yoshiaki Ohashi) has collaborated with Chikaranomoto Company—a subsidiary of Chikaranomoto Holdings (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; President: Tomoyuki Yamane) that operates the Hakata-born ramen chain Ippudo—to co-develop Shonai-style kin-pun Ramen, which features noodles made with the fermented protein kin-pun.

To unveil this initiative, a two-day reservation-only experiential event was held on Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Ippudo Hamamatsucho Stand in Minato-ku, Tokyo. Participants were able to enjoy the ramen alongside a special course menu featuring local cuisine from Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan’s first UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
